In this course you learn about the whole workflow starting from a concept to a finished sequence using industry standard packages. The techniques used in this course are suitable for small to medium studios. The software used are :Zbrush to create the model , Maya for Rigging and Animation while I used 3DS Max for VFX and rendering.

Each chapter can be watched separately. so you can jump between chapters at your ease.

Chapter 04: Facial Rigging in Maya
If we are alike you will enjoy this chapter! We start the facial rigging by tackling the lips area that always represents some challenges using an advanced ribbon setup to get the maximum flexibility possible for this area.

For this fantasy character the eyebrows are anatomically incorrect which makes it difficult to rig and get the desired deformation! We need to find a way between easy to setup and works without problems.. I will show you my way of doing it and how to achieve an appealing eyebrows rigging.

We make sure to rig the eyelids , the eyes, and everything related to the face.

We implement a flexible “lips sealing” without scripting to help the animator get the cartoony lips and also add tweakers for the lips if we want to achieve a complex cartoony lips movement such us: sine wave lips.
We wrap up this chapter by adding the necessary blendshapes and correctives for our character.
