  • A step by step tutorial on how to use and acquaint yourself in Lumion 3D as a beginner or even for someone who uses Lumion everyday, going through each of the categories, familiarizing yourself with the stage and how to use each effect to your advantage and finally going through to the more advanced tutorials helping you become a more proficient 3D artist. Although this course was designed around Lumion 8, the techniques used here will help you streamline your workflow for any version of Lumion.

I go through the proper use of preparing files saving them out to either Collada or FBX which has become the more preferred method to export your files in. Starting with the basics, looking at stage layout and familiarizing yourself with all the buttons and what each one means creating a professional workflow and speed up production and efficiency. Taking a look at the effects and customizing the look and feel depending on what your project calls for.  Although Lumion is very forgiving in what you import into your project it is always advisable to prepare your file for export by making the file as light as possible. Strip out all the unnecessary items that wont be seen in the project and delete items that can replaced by an optimized model that Lumion provides. Then finally rendering out your still and video to be exported to photoshop or video editing software.
